Abbey Nicole Curran, Miss Iowa USA 2008, was the first state winner in the history of the Miss USA Pageant who has dealt with a challenge her entire life. Born with Cerebral Palsy, Abbey grew up a hog farmer's daughter and has dedicated her life to proving that no challenge or limitation is great enough to stop her from achieving her dreams.
Abbey created her very own national non-profit pageant for girls and women with special needs and challenges. The Miss You Can Do It Pageant is now in its 9th year and is international. Abbey received her bachelors in Business Communications from Saint Ambrose University and is currently pursuing her degree in Family Nurse Practice.
Abbey has appeared on telecasts such as CBS The Early Show, Ellen Degeneres, Inside Edition, Access Hollywood, Extra, and CNN Headline News. She also had an exclusive feature story in People Magazine. Abbey was named Susan G. Komen's Most Inspirational Woman In America in 2011 and is currently covergirl for SoderStrom Skin Institute.
